Next Generation Expansion of adMSCs

The chemically defined CnT-Prime MSC-CD medium is the first MSC expansion medium that is free of all human and animal-derived components. In addition, it does not require the use of plate coatings, and does not contain any serum or blood cell-derived proteins.

It uses exclusively recombinant growth factors to provide balanced cell expansion without
overstimulation, thus improving retention of key markers over multiple passages in comparison with serum-containing media.

As a result of its fully defined, human- and animal-component free formulation, adipose-derived MSC growing in CnT-Prime MSC-CD medium are ideally suited for clinical use. For highest isolation efficiency, the xeno-free (Prime MSC-XF) medium is recommended.

The cell population is CD45-/CD31-/CD73+/CD90+/CD105+/CD34+, and importantly at least 20% of the cell population remains CD34-positive at passage 4.

CnT-Prime MSC-CD Medium

CnT-Prime MSC-CD Medium is a highly refined medium for high efficiency isolation and expansion of adipose-derived MSC. It uses an advanced basal medium supplemented with a range of growth factors, and is fully defined, and completely free of all human- and animal-derived factors.

Product use
Developed specifically for expansion of adMSC in a fully defined environment, without the need for plate coatings. Recommended minimum seeding density after passaging: 4'000 cells per sq. cm. May be increased to 8'000 cells per sq. cm for increased cell yield if desired. For routine cell cultivation, CELLnTEC does not recommend the use of antibiotics / antimycotics.
Storage / Shelf life
Store frozen below -15oC. For best before date, see label. To prepare medium for use, it is preferable to thaw overnight at 4oC. Alternatively, medium may be thawed at room temperature for approx 5-6 hours. If thawing at room temperature, ensure contents do not rise above 12oC at the end of the thawing process. Once thawed, medium has a remaining shelf-life of 6-weeks when stored at 4oC in the dark. Certain culture media components are very sensitive to light. Minimize light exposure at all times.
Quality control
Media composition is tested via osmolality, pH and the concentration of various ions. Media functionality is tested by evaluating growth and morphology or primary human adMSC over at least 2 passages. Free of bacteria, fungi and mycoplasma contamination.
Shipping condition
Medium is shipped frozen.
