Selectivity_med

A mix of keratinocytes and melanocytes seeded into the highly selective CnT-40 medium (left), results in a pure melanocyte population after 7 days. Traditional media (right) are unselective, resulting in mixed cultures.

Primary Human Melanocytes

HEM primary human melanocytes isolated in CnT-40 provide strong proliferation over an extended period.

In addition, HEM established in CnT-40 benefit from the selectivity of this medium, resulting in pure populations.

HEM are available from both adult and juvenile tissue. When grown in CnT-40, they will retain a proliferative phenotype, and moderate dendricity.

CnT-40 maintains expression of melanin in the isolated cells.
