Description

Accutase® is a ready‑to‑use cell detachment solution containing proteolytic and collagenolytic enzymes. Derived from invertebrate sources, it is free of mammalian and bacterial proteins. It can be used as a direct replacement for trypsin, offering a gentler and more controlled enzymatic activity. Unlike trypsin, which has a narrow window between effective detachment and over‑digestion, Accutase provides a more forgiving and reliable detachment process.
Accutase is CELLnTEC’s recommended enzyme for both isolation and routine passaging because of its mild action and the convenience of not requiring a separate reagent to stop the reaction. Once detachment is complete, the enzyme can simply be diluted and the cells centrifuged. Its gentle formulation preserves cell surface proteins and improves post‑detachment viability.
Accutase is effective for detaching a wide range of cell types, including fibroblasts, epithelial cells, and many others, and can be used on standard tissue culture plasticware as well as adhesion‑coated surfaces. It supports consistent and reproducible cell handling across routine and advanced culture workflows.

Accutase® is a registered trademark and a innovation by CELLnTEC Advanced Cell Systems, Inc.
