Description

CnT-Prime Basal Medium, is a fully defined formulation used across the entire CnT-Prime range of media. It contains a low calcium concentration of 0.07 mM, specifically chosen to support optimal long-term proliferation of epithelial progenitor cells. This medium provides a complete set of amino acids, minerals, vitamins, and organic compounds, ensuring a balanced environment for cell maintenance and growth.

CnT-Prime Basal Medium is completely free of animal or human-derived components and does not contain growth factors, phenol red, or antibiotics/antimycotics. Growth factors must be added to achieve cell proliferation, making this basal medium ideal for applications where cells need to be starved of stimulation for a defined period prior to experimentation. It serves as the foundation for the preparation of several specialized media, including CnT-PR, CnT-PR-D, CnT-PR-3D, CnT-PR-CA, CnT-PR-A, and CnT-PR-AD.

Designed for use in a 5% CO₂ atmosphere, CnT-Prime Basal Medium combines precision and flexibility, supporting both routine culture and specialized experimental conditions.
