Description

CnT-PR-MD is a fully defined, ready-to-use medium specifically formulated to promote melanocyte differentiation, melanin expression, and dendricity. Unlike standard melanocyte media, which provide mixed signals for both proliferation and melanin expression, CnT-PR-MD focuses exclusively on differentiation, creating an environment that mimics in vivo conditions. This targeted approach enables melanocytes to perform their natural functions optimally.
As a result, CnT-PR-MD delivers 2.5 times more melanin and increased dendricity compared to the proliferative CnT-40 medium. The formulation is free of PMA, TPA, and antibiotics/antimycotics, and is provided fully supplemented and frozen for convenience.
CnT-PR-MD can also be used in conjunction with CnT-PR-MH (Melanocyte Homeostasis Medium) when conducting melanocyte whitening assays.

Highlights

1

Designed for melanocyte differentiation

Specifically formulated to promote differentiation and dendricity in primary melanocytes

2

Boost melanin expression

Drives ~2.5× higher melanin production compared with proliferative conditions

3

Low serum formulation

Low-serum medium without PMA or TPA, minimizing artificial stimulation for more physiologically relevant cell behavior.

4

Maximize standardization and convenience

Fully supplemented, one bottle ready-to-go. Maximize standardization and convenience. Minimize variability and error
