Description

The PRFT‑24 Full‑Thickness 3D Skin Model Starter Kit contains all the media and inserts required to establish full‑thickness three‑dimensional skin models from primary keratinocyte and fibroblast cultures. Designed for air‑liquid interface workflows, the kit provides a complete set of culture media and accessories needed to generate physiologically relevant full‑thickness tissues in the laboratory. This version of the kit does not include primary cells.
The kit includes CnT‑NX‑E epithelial proliferation medium and CnT‑PR‑F fibroblast proliferation medium for 2D expansion, as well as CnT‑PR‑FTAL5 medium for full‑thickness air‑lift culture. It also contains a CnT‑SP spacer plate, which increases medium volume when using standard 12‑well plates, and twenty‑four 0.4 μm pore‑size inserts suitable for air‑lift differentiation.
Primary keratinocytes and fibroblasts are not included in this kit. These cells may be prepared in the laboratory using CnT‑NX-E and CnT‑PR‑F media following the recommended protocols, or they can be purchased together with the full‑thickness media in the PRFT‑CELLS‑24 kit. They are also available separately in the CnT‑FT‑CELLS value pack.
Using the recommended protocol, full‑thickness 3D skin models can be routinely generated with consistent performance and reliable stratification at the air‑liquid interface.
