Description

CnT-NX-E-HC is the next generation successor to CnT-07-HC (and CnT-PR-HC), CELLnTEC’s market leading Higher Certified precision media for isolation and expansion of epithelial cells from skin, cornea, gingiva, mammary, and bladder tissue. It features markedly improved expansion rates, robustness and versatility in primary cells, iPSC derived cells and cell lines. CnT-NX-E-HC is a clinically ready formulation that is ideally suited for use during product development, protocol validation, and characterization of the cell-based product.

CnT-NX-E

Primary human adult keratinocytes cultured at passage 4 in CnT-NX-E.

CnT-NX-E and CnT-NX-E-HC have same media formulation and deliver similar results.

CnT-NX-E-HC is Higher Certified version that is chemically defined, low calcium (0.07 mM) medium formulation designed for optimal and rapid isolation, expansion, and longevity of primary epithelial cells (skin, cornea, oral, mammary). It is completely free of animal or human-derived components. CnT-NX-E-HC contains purified growth factors, an optimized basal medium to increase cell proliferation, and PCT factors to maximize retention of proliferative progenitor cells, increase longevity, and minimize loss through differentiation. It does not contain phenol-red, or antibiotics / antimycotics. This medium is clinically ready formulation provided fully supplemented and frozen.

Primary epithelial cells growing in CnT-NX-E-HC display a highly proliferative phenotype. For differentiation experiments, it is recommended to switch to the CnT-PR-D or CnT-PR-3D differentiation media.

The medium undergoes a range of QC tests before being released for sale. Please see the datasheet for details.

Thawing, seeding, and passaging protocols are particularly important for optimal cell growth. Please visit our Protocols Page for our recommendations.

Comparative Analysis of Long-term Cultivation of Adult Keratinocytes: The graph shows adult Keratinocytes cultured in CnT-NX-E medium exhibiting accelerated proliferation rates and achieving a higher number of population doublings in a shorter time frame compared to those grown in our predecessor media, CnT-07 and CnT-PR. CnT-NX-E effectively mitigates the issue of low initial cell counts, allowing for up to a sixfold increase in cell numbers within three passages. CnT-NX-E-HC will deliver similar results like the CnT-NX-E medium.
