Description

HEMns primary human melanocytes (juvenile) growing in CnT-40 medium benefit from the presence of PCT factors and other cofactors that provide strong proliferation and extended longevity. HANDLING INSTRUCTION: This material is of human origin and should therefore be handled as hazardous. Although it has been tested negative for HIV 1, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C, treat this material as potentially infectious and use appropriate biocontainment, protective equipment, and other precautions to prevent accidental exposure.

Scientific resources

HEMns are isolated from juvenile tissue, the melanocytes offer maximum growth and longevity. Melanocytes growing in CnT-40 demonstrate a proliferative, mainly bipolar phenotype, in particular when isolated from juvenile tissue. They retain melanin expression.

The HEMns cells are provided cryopreserved in the fully defined CRYO-Defined culture medium to maximize recovery after thawing.
